So, we had another practice without ice today. It's starting to get a little annoying. It's far past the frustrating stage that I thought would consume most of my feelings for it. We are hoping to have ice in the next week, which would be great. But at this point, it's becoming a little hard to believe.
Either way, Conditioning went well. I was hoping to see more of a true leader step forward in the conditioning aspect. Hopefully, one will emerge. I think it's always easier for young men to motivate themselves when a peer shows great self-motivation. They worked hard, though. And it makes me wonder if I'm pushing them too hard. It's sad to think that since neither Juan or I ever had it this easy. It is, however, easy to see that none of them have ever had it this hard.
We ran through some basic sets and I'm now in the process of fully transitioning these players from Roller to Ice. I now think that it won't be as hard as I once believed. They watch enough ice and understand the rules better than we gave them credit for. I think as soon as I have the chance to show them the true ins and outs of the game, it will come quickly.
